Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) was founded in June 2006 and utilises unique patented III-V semiconductor based mid infra-red light emitting diode (LED) / photodiode (PD) technology as the light source and detector respectively within a unique CO₂ gas sensor. GSS have integrated mid infra red LED/ PD technology into innovative optics and signal processing to produce a new generation world leading CO₂ gas sensor product targeted at emerging high growth markets.

GSS CO₂ gas sensor product aligns with growing market requirements such air quality monitoring and control requirements, offering high volume, low power consumption and high performance at low cost.

GSS solid state production processing replaces high cost discrete components – light source, detector, optical filter – with high volume / low cost semi conductors. This approach meets two critical market needs: low power consumption requirements and low cost for high volume production.
