CO2 sensors for aerospace applications
Aircraft cabin quality remains firmly on the agenda, with increasing concern about the health impact on passengers and crew. Cabin air quality is required to meet certain health and safety regulations, and improved in-flight comfort is increasingly demanded of airlines. Continuous monitoring and control of CO2 levels is therefore required to maintain safety standards.
Our sensors are robust enough to accurately measure CO2 levels when exposed to in-flight conditions, as an integral part of your air quality management system. The sensors are built to endure changes and extremes in pressure, temperature, and relative humidity.
Wireless systems are now a reality, since our sensors are low power enough to be battery operated. With no cables to worry about, systems can be quickly installed in any desired area, with minimal disruption. Your system could even be a portable, handheld or wearable instrument, as our miniature sensors fit inside very compact products.
Our solid-state CO2 sensors have been successfully used in aerospace markets for many years. Typical applications we’ve supplied include: in cabin air quality safety and monitoring for aircraft and vehicles; data loggers for aerospace; and solutions for IoT (Internet of Things) projects. Then there’s the more weird and wonderful applications we’ve done, such as CO2 sensors for spaceships!
