Air Quality & HVAC/ DCV Applications
Long life and low power CO2 air quality sensors
We’re all becoming more aware of the harmful effects of rising CO2 levels on our health. To this end, habitat monitoring sensors for air quality in buildings and enclosed spaces is becoming a necessity. As well as safeguarding health and productivity, increased efficiency and rising energy costs of indoor CO2 are key market drivers. Legislation in certain parts of the world is also driving change, both in the home and the workplace.
Our indoor and outdoor air quality sensors for CO2 provide a reliable early warning of rising CO2 levels, as an integral part of your HVAC/ DCV or air quality monitoring system. Battery application and USB CO2 sensors are now a reality, since our sensors are low power enough to be battery operated. With no cables to worry about, systems can be quickly installed in any desired area, with minimal disruption. Your system could even be a portable, handheld, wall mounted or wearable instrument, as our miniature sensors fit inside very compact products.
Our solid-state CO2 outdoor and indoor air quality sensors have been successfully used in HVAC/ DCV markets for well over a decade. Typical applications we’ve supplied include: solutions for IoT (Internet of Things) projects; health and safety measures in schools; air quality management in homes. As well as DCV (demand controlled ventilation), ‘smart building’ projects in offices; and wearable safety solutions for pub cellars. Then there’s the more unique applications we’ve worked on, such as CO2 sensors for caves, and energy harvesting collaborations.
For ambient air CO2, we would recommend our CozIR® range. Expert engineered for low power CO2 sensing, this range is ideal for air quality analysis and HVAC/ DCV applications. Specifically designed to measure low (or ambient) levels of CO2. CozIR® sensors are up to 50X lower power than typical infrared CO2 sensors, and can last over ten years with low maintenance. Please see our CozIR® sensor products listed here.
The exact sensor required depends on what you want to use it for, the operating conditions, and any special features desired. If the CozIR® sensors do not meet your requirements, you can use our product selector to specify your exact requirements.
