CO2 Sensors for Aerospace

In enclosed environments like aircraft cabins and cockpits, CO2 levels can rise well above safe thresholds, leading to fatigue, impaired concentration, and reduced cognitive function. Yet many modern aircraft lack real-time CO2 monitoring.

Gas Sensing’s lightweight, ultra-low-power solid-state sensors enable smarter environmental control systems (ECS) by providing fast, pressure-compensated CO2 readings in real time – helping operators strike the right balance between passenger safety, crew performance, and fuel efficiency.

Being solid-state designs, they are intrinsically immune to the high-vibration environment of an aircraft, where changes to the sensor caused by mechanical vibration may not easily be corrected.

Proven in space, trusted on Earth: our cozIR®-A sensor is used aboard the International Space Station and is engineered to meet DO-160 aerospace standards, ensuring reliable performance in conditions of high vibration, varying temperature, and fluctuating pressure.
